Client Background

PwC supports organisations of all sizes by providing industry-focused assurance, tax and advisory services.

The Project

In August 2010, Corporate Signage and its installation specialist ProSign, were engaged by PwC to create nationwide signage as part of the firm’s rebranding exercise. Corporate Signage manufactured all signage based on the client’s global design specifications.

Client contact Lisa Andrews had organised pictures and measurements of the sites, but needed advice on the best materials, sizes and processes to ensure an exceptional result. Corporate Signage manufactured samples of various signs in different materials and thickness, enabling the PwC team to make informed decisions for each of the eight branches, including internal and external signage.

 

Creative thinking

The PwC brand specifications required that the logo was made up of 12 different coloured pieces, fitted together like a jigsaw, on top of five layers that clipped together. To get the precise detail required, the stainless steel pieces were laser cut. Keeping the layers together during the process meant considerable research and testing were done to find a high performing adhesive for the unique application.

 

Making it happen

All signage elements were produced to the highest quality finish. The signs’ construction – stainless logos and lettering mounted on glass panels – necessitated custom-built wooden crates for transportation.

To mount the glass panels to the wall, Corporate Signage also designed and supplied customised stainless steel mountings. The team worked through the Christmas break and completed the project on time, despite its complexity.
